col du cement!

I'm sure Skip and others will provide more colourful reports, so let me give you the numbers from Sunday. Here's the route I rode (55.5kms, 2:26 ride time at an average speed of a little under 23km/h). You can also see the elevation (Doc's house is bottom of the dip at about 13kms for those who started there). Cement Hill was 2.36kms from the pedestrian lights at the bottom to the top and I rode it in 10:03. The average gradient was 6.14% (Alp d'Huez is 13.3kms @ 8.6%, Col de Restefond is 26.7kms @ 6.2%). For the record, the ClimbsSA website lists the best time up Cement Hill from Seacomb Road (an extra km or so on what I measured) as 6:59!!!
